Field State was built on a simple discovery: the friction most people carry is not a personal failure, it is the predictable result of living against a biological inheritance built over 250,000 years.
Field State was built on a simple discovery: the friction most people carry is not a personal failure, it is the predictable result of living against a biological inheritance built over 250,000 years.
I didn't build Field State because I had a plan. I built it because something wasn't working and I couldn't name it.
I was sleeping enough. Working hard. By most external measures, doing well. But underneath all of it, there was a persistent friction. A sense of running at the wrong frequency. Not burnout, exactly. Something more like a sustained misalignment between who I was and how I was living.
So I went looking.
What I found wasn't a new system. It was something far older.
Human beings have been on this earth for over 250,000 years. For almost all of that time, we lived in direct relationship with the rhythms of the natural world. Not as a lifestyle choice. As biology. Our nervous systems, our sleep, our attention, our hormones, the very patterns of our cognition co-evolved in nature. The light, the temperature, the seasons, the ground beneath our feet. These were never background. They were the operating system.
The science underneath this is extraordinary and, once you understand it, difficult to unsee. Every cell in the human body contains a clock. These clocks synchronise to external cues, light above all. When that synchronisation breaks down, because of misaligned schedules, chronic artificial light, disconnection from nature, things degrade in predictable ways. Mood, cognition, energy, sleep. Not from lack of effort. From misalignment.
When I understood this, something shifted. Not in my mind first. In my body.
I recognised it. The exhaustion, the friction, the gap between how I was living and how I knew I could live. None of it was a personal failure. It was the predictable outcome of living against a biological inheritance built over a quarter of a million years.
Field State is what I built when I stopped fighting that and started working with it. A coaching practice rooted in chronobiology and nature connection. Seven pillars, one destination: coherence.
And the thing that surprised me most was the ripple.
When you return to coherence, the people around you feel it. Your children at breakfast. Your team in difficult conversations. Your partner in the evenings.
The rhythm of nature has always been there. Your body has always known it.
The work of Field State is remembering.
