Terms and conditions

Welcome to Field State, a bespoke coaching and lifestyle practice supporting people in navigating the modern world by doing the most radical act of living as a connected human.

By engaging Field State for consulting, advisory, facilitation, coaching, events, or any related services (the "Services"), you ("Client," "you," or "your") agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

Definitions

"Field State," "we," "our," or "us" refers to Field State, operated by Garrett Groszko, its contractors, and authorised representatives.

"Client," "you," or "your" refers to the individual or organisation entering into an agreement with Field State.

"Services" means any consulting, advisory, facilitation, coaching, workshops, events, or related activities delivered by Field State.

"Agreement" refers to the contract formed when you accept a proposal, statement of work, engagement letter, or these Terms and Conditions.

Engagement and scope of work

Service scope: the nature, timeline, and deliverables of the Services will be defined in writing in a proposal, statement of work, or similar document.

Acceptance: by signing the proposal, paying an invoice, or otherwise authorising work to begin, you accept the terms of the engagement.

Changes to scope: any changes or additions to the agreed scope must be documented and may require revised fees or timelines.

Between-session support: where Signal or other messaging support is included as part of the agreed Services, this is provided for coaching continuity purposes only. It does not constitute emergency support, crisis intervention, or a substitute for professional medical or mental health care. Response times are not guaranteed.

Fees, invoicing, and payment

Fees: fees for Services will be clearly outlined in the proposal or invoice. Unless otherwise agreed, fees are exclusive of applicable taxes.

Payment terms: payment is due within the timeframe stated on the invoice. Late payments may incur interest or suspension of Services.

Cancellations or postponements: if you cancel or postpone Services, Field State may charge for work already completed, non-recoverable costs, or agreed cancellation fees.

Non-refundable fees: all fees paid to Field State are non-refundable once Services have commenced. By engaging Field State, you acknowledge that you are paying for access to the practice, the coaching relationship, and the time and expertise of the practitioner, not for any specific outcome or result.

Consumer cancellation rights: if you are engaging as an individual consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of entering into this agreement (the "cooling-off period") under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you request that Services begin within this 14-day period, you acknowledge that your right to a full refund may be reduced to account for Services already delivered. To exercise your right to cancel, please notify us in writing at garrett@fieldstate.life.

Nature of the practice

Field State is a coaching and lifestyle practice, not a results guarantee. The work supports clients in observing, understanding, and aligning with their own biological rhythms and natural intelligence. Outcomes vary between individuals and depend on the client's own engagement, consistency, and circumstances.

Field State makes no guarantee of specific results, improvements, or changes in health, performance, wellbeing, or any other measure. Fees paid reflect engagement with the practice itself. No refund will be issued on the basis that expected or desired outcomes were not achieved.

Clients are encouraged to seek independent professional advice, medical, psychological, or otherwise, where appropriate. Field State's Services are not a substitute for professional medical or mental health care.

Participation and conduct

Professional conduct: clients and participants agree to engage respectfully and constructively. Field State reserves the right to remove any participant for disruptive, unlawful, or inappropriate behaviour.

Client responsibilities: clients are responsible for ensuring that their staff or participants adhere to these Terms and Conditions.

Intellectual property

Ownership: all materials, frameworks, methodologies, presentations, reports, Field Notes, and other content provided by Field State remain the intellectual property of Field State unless explicitly transferred in writing. This includes original concepts, tools, and named intellectual property developed by Field State, including but not limited to: Regenerative Attention, Natural Intelligence, the Field State practice framework, the Coherence Assessment, and the Field State Coherence Index.

Sharing and attribution: where Field State content is shared, whether in conversation, on social media, or in any other public or private forum, clear attribution to Field State is required. This includes but is not limited to Field Notes, frameworks, practice materials, written content, and any original concepts developed by Field State. Attribution must read "Field State" or "fieldstate.life" and must not imply endorsement or affiliation beyond the client relationship.

Prohibited uses: you may not present Field State's materials, frameworks, or concepts as your own work. You may not use Field State's intellectual property to deliver coaching, training, facilitation, or any commercial service to third parties without a separate written licence agreement with Field State.

Social media: if you share Field State content on social media, you must tag or credit Field State clearly. Unattributed sharing, or sharing that obscures the original source, is a breach of these Terms and Conditions.

Usage rights: you may use materials delivered by Field State for your own personal development and internal reference only. You may not reproduce, modify, adapt, distribute, or commercially exploit Field State's materials in any form without prior written permission.

Client materials: any materials supplied by the Client remain the Client's intellectual property. Field State will not use client materials beyond the scope of the engagement without written permission.

Confidentiality

Mutual confidentiality: both parties agree to protect confidential or sensitive information disclosed during the engagement.

Exceptions: confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that is publicly available, already known to the receiving party, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.

Client discussions: Field State may reference engagement themes in anonymised form for learning or thought leadership purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Privacy and data protection

Field State processes personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available at fieldstate.life/privacy. By engaging our Services, you confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

Risk: participation in workshops, advisory sessions, or events is at your own risk.

Exclusions: Field State is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the Services.

Liability cap: Field State's total liability is limited to the fees paid by the Client for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim.

Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement with written notice, subject to any notice period or cancellation terms set out in the proposal. Work completed up to the date of termination will be invoiced.

Changes to services or scheduling

Field State reserves the right to adjust schedules, formats, or delivery methods where necessary. Any significant changes will be communicated promptly.

Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

Entire agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the proposal or statement of work, constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior discussions or understandings.
